Karin's visit in Kriftel :D:D:D ~ Day 4

On the day before her leave I took her to Rüdesheim at the river Rhine. We had beautiful weather and some awesome views!!!

We first walked around a little in the old city part of Rüdesheim.

Then we took the gondola up to a memorial. What you see on this picture are the wine hills. The Rhine valley is really famous for their wine. You find wine hills all along the river rhine.

The two person gondolas.

The view on our way up to the memorial.

A little temple which was build by earl of Ostein as an attraction in 1788. It was an attracion in the romantic era in the 19th century for a lot of people with the greatness of mind like Brentano, Beethoven of Goethe. It got destroyed because of bombs of the allies in November 1944. It got reconstructed and opened up again in June 2006.

The "Niederwalddenkmal" is a memorial which was build to remember the victory over France in  1870/71. After that victory the German empire got new created and united.

It is about 34.4 feet high and weights about 70547.9 lb.

Karin and me in the chairlift to Asmannshausen.

And again an amazing view.

And the famous wine hills.

Again some cute old houses.

Karin in front of the river rhine.

Well when you are waiting for about an hour for the ship you have some crazy ideas.

That is the castle which we were going to see. It's called castle "Rheinstein" (Rhine stone).

It was build by the archbishopric of Mainz in the 13th century and was a toll castle.

The river Rhine.

The castle is so

The background was just perfect to take such a beautiful picture!

It was so nice of that man to take a picture of us two.

And again just an amazing view.

And here are some impressions of the castle. The tower.

A little platform with a cute little fountain.

Brave Karin climbing up the stairs to the tower!!!

Beautiful side of the castle.

View from from the tower.

Me with a wonderful background!

Just imagine, you wake up as a princess, walk down the stairs, through the hallway and go through this door on the balcony!

Just making some nice pictures all around!

The little chapel of the castle.

The view of castle from the restaurant.

Ya isn't that just cute. Found that on top of a stone at the restaurant.

Sadly it didn't turn into a nice and handsome prince.

The way to hike up and down to the castle.

Another of the many castles along the Rhine.

This is the "Mäuseturm" (Mousetower). It was build as a toll tower in the first half of 14th century.

Look at this old nice car. Found it in a court infront of a house.

Karin's visit in Kriftel :D:D:D ~ Day 3

After we've been shopping on Tuesday and went to the swimming pool we went to Frankfurt to see the most popular parts of Frankfurt city. So we were first walking past the "Römer" (the "Roman") and the "Römerberg" (the "Roman hill") to the landing were the little boat trip started.

The "Dreikönigskirche" (the "Threekingchurch") on the "other" side of the river Main. It was build 1875 -1880.

A little flower arrangement for the women's soccer world cup in Germany this summer.

This is a pedestrian bridge called "Eiserner Steg" ("Iron bridge"). It was build 1868/69.

The weather was great for a boat trip because it was really not to hot. Karin posing infront of the Main.

The skyscraper on the right is the "Commerzbank Tower" an office building of a bank. It's the highest building in Frankfurt. It measures 300m ( about 985 feet).

Frankfurt skyline with all the famous skyscrapers.

Karin's visit in Kriftel :D:D:D ~ Day 1

She finally made it!!! After a long time (almost exactly 1 year) I met Karin again :D She stayed from last Monday to last Friday and it was an amazing time we had. She had a long drive to Kriftel so we decided to just drive around and take some pictures. So my best friend Annica gave us a ride.

This is the church of a town around here.

Just driving from town to town.

Kind of love that one!

We were so lucky with the weather. It just rained on Wednesday.

We drove up to some fields around Hofheim.

It was sooo nice.

The skyline of Frankfurt.

Just thought it was kinda beautiful :)

After a long day we got back and watched some of the videos I made in Utah. Wow haven't had such a funny night for a long time!!! :D
